Vegas Looming
One quick moment I forgot about from Costa Rica.
I had just dashed to the john in a break to take a whiz during the tournament. This weirdo guy next to me did NOT wash his hands after whizzing, but then used a tissue paper to hold the door knob and let himself out of the bathroom.
WTF?
I'm just glad the guy wasn't at my table.
So Vegas insanity is pending with all my poker brethren. I'll be in Thursday around 6pm.
I've ordered the new 2008 Winter Classic Hammer Trophy for the winner of our tourney:
Don't forget tonight's blogger tourney on BoDog! I'm the official bounty boy -- come knock me out and when $110 bucks.

Gus Hansen Poker Book
"I have vision, and the rest of the world wears bifocals."
Butch Cassidy
Well hell, I'm back. No, not yet with the long awaited ubers forthcoming, but just in getting some free time in my life to focus on neglected things, like this humble poker blog.
Politics is but a blur in my rear-view mirror. I finally finished my last silly computer game and that urge is sated.
So now I'm looking forward to getting back into all things poker. Of course, I leave for Vegas on Thursday, so it shall have to wait just a tad longer, but still.
I'm trying to decide if I'm finally ready to move from blogspot to my domain. It seems like repurposing this monstrosity of a blog should have been done three years ago, but hey, I was busy drinking playing and reading about poker.
But now seems like time. Rebuilding all the content here into a cohesive site oughta be a fun project. If anyone has any thoughts, please feel to reach out.
Per poker and my successful exploits playing tournaments this year finally caused me to crack open Gus Hansen's poker book, Every Hand Revealed, where he documents 320 poker hands when he won the 2007 Aussie Millions.
As someone who is a rock compared to Gus, I'm enjoying the book immensely. It's light hearted and sarcastic in spots, and quite frankly, opened my eyes to a few concepts that I'm guilty of either not paying attention to, or playing too weakly to pull off.
Of course, everyone is weak when it comes to Gus Fucking Hansen.
That being said, I want to write more about this in the near future, probably after I finish reading the book. He certainly has a method to his madness and let's face it: you're not going to expand your poker game by running good or only talking poker with people who agree with you. For me, it's quite the opposite.
So that's it for now.
Allow me to leave you with one excellent poker link, something we don't get to see much of: a TV interview with David Sklansky.
The Ecolefrancaisedepoker (French Poker School) team came in Vegas for the 2008 WSOP and got this surprisingly good interview: David Sklansky Video Interview.
Oh shit, and one more thing.
I'll be the bounty boy in Tuesday's BoDog poker blogger tourney. I'll make it easy and put on my best Gus impression.
Here's the info:
